SUSTAINABILITY AT ÉCOLE PRIMAIRE

Quality & Materials

At Ecole Primaire, we prioritize quality and sustainability over fast fashion trends. Our founder, Anita, grew up in an environment steeped in the art of garment making, learning from skilled seamstresses in her family. From a young age, she developed an appreciation for well-crafted, high-end clothing, often wearing beautiful pieces passed down from her fashion-savvy aunt. The longevity of these garments inspired Anita to create a line of clothing designed to be cherished and treasured rather than discarded.

We believe that clothing should tell a story, becoming a part of your family's history. Our commitment to quality means that each piece is made to endure, ensuring it can be passed down to friends or loved ones, preserving memories and heritage. At Ecole Primaire, we are dedicated to making timeless clothing that contributes positively to the environment, standing the test of time while remaining stylish and relevant for future generations.

Sustainability

At Ecole Primaire, sustainability is not just an initiative; it is woven into the very fabric of our identity. We are acutely aware of the environmental impact that denim production can have, which is why we partner exclusively with mills that share our commitment to eco-friendly practices. Our trusted denim mills are located in Japan, Italy, France, and Spain—countries renowned for their stringent environmental regulations.

Our partners utilize advanced technologies that leverage renewable energy sources, eco-dyeing processes, and innovative methods to recycle waste fabrics. This ensures that the denim we offer not only meets high quality standards but also aligns with our sustainability goals.

In our collections, approximately 80% of the fabrics we use are natural. We proudly source a variety of materials, including cotton, Tencel made from responsibly managed wood, luxurious silk, and the highest quality wool. Each piece is crafted with care, emphasizing our dedication to both style and environmental responsibility.

By choosing Ecole Primaire, you are supporting a brand that prioritizes sustainability without compromising on quality or aesthetics. Together, we can make a positive impact on the planet, one collection at a time.

ETHICAL MANUFACTURING

We prioritize local production by operating within a 10-mile radius of New York City. Our commitment to supporting the garment district community is reflected in our close collaborations with skilled pattern makers, seamstresses, and production factories.

We produce small-batch local production and not more then 2 collection a year. This approach not only empowers our customers to own distinctive garments but also minimizes our ecological footprint. We take pride in delivering high-quality products that align with sustainable practices, contributing positively to both the community and the environment.
